Ama and Percy got married on a Friday in August. Opting to minimize travel time they decided to book out a few hotel rooms to get ready in. Percy and the guys on one floor, Ama and the girls on another. My assistant and I arrived to the guys room first. The room was buzzing with the guys having a good time, putting on vests, ties, and cufflinks. They opted to have shorter coverage during the getting ready so once Percy was dressed we took him out into the hall so we had a bit more space to do some portraits of him while the guys finished getting ready.
When we made it to the girls room Ama was still in the make-up chair. With 7 bridesmaid, 3 flower girls and her mom the room was packed! Thankfully Ama had another room that was just for her to get ready in! We started with her portraits and once all the girls were ready we had them join us in Ama’s room. Again with shorter coverage it wasn’t long before we were off to the church.
We encountered a slight delay at the church so once we got our detail shots we had an opportunity to do a few more portraits with Percy.
They had a traditional ceremony surrounded by friends and family and soon Ama and Percy were pronounced husband and wife!
When the ceremony was over the bride and groom were congratulated by friends and family before they jumped into the limo with their bridal party and headed to Kleinberg for pictures. First up were the family pictures! With Ama’s large family and Percy’s extended family it was probably one of my longest family sessions but we worked quickly and captured everybody! We then took the bridal party on a stroll around Kleinberg to do some fun shots.
When it was just Ama and Percy we were invited into the backyard of one of the local restaurants and were able to take advantage of some beautiful landscaping that I’d never seen before. Having shot weddings and engagements in Kleinberg several times over the past few years I’m always amazed at what new things I find!
It was then time to head to Riviera Parque for the reception! The hall was beautifully decorated and covering 2 banquet halls you knew it was going to be a big wedding!
The evening started with the bridal party dancing their way into the hall and upon their entrance Ama and Percy graced their audience with a first dance! The MCs kept the evening going with games, speeches and a musical act! There were parent and cultural dances and it didn’t take long for the dance floor to be packed!
We know Ama and Percy had an amazing wedding celebrating with their friends and families and we had a blast sharing their day with them!
